Info
Balance Hub is a mobile app designed to support individuals struggling with eating disorders and mental health challenges. The app creates a safe and calming environment, providing tools such as therapy booking, journaling, breathing exercises, and a resource hub of articles and videos. The project evolved from initial prototypes into a polished, accessible product shaped by user testing and feedback. I led the design and development in Flutter, integrating Firebase Authentication and Firestore for secure login, data storage, and therapist bookings.Key features include:Onboarding & Self-Assessment – personalized welcome flow to ease users in.Mood Tracking & Pop-ups – interactive sliders with contextual feedback.Therapy Booking System – real-time therapist database with session scheduling and cancellation.Stress Management – animated breathing exercises for relaxation.Resource Hub – curated educational videos and articles.Journaling System – private entries stored securely in Firestore. The UI design focuses on soft teal and off-white tones to promote calmness and trust, with rounded cards and simple navigation for accessibility. User testing confirmed the app’s emotional impact, though refinements were made (lighter color palette, clearer icons, replacing mood graph with pop-ups to avoid triggers).
