Info
Grigora is a non-profit freelancing platform built as part of my final year project to address the inefficiencies of existing platforms like Fiverr and Upwork. Unlike profit-driven marketplaces, Grigora was designed to give freelancers equal visibility and remove commission fees, creating a fairer system for beginners and clients alike. The platform features: Role-based dashboards for freelancers, clients, and admins. Job postings & proposals with milestone tracking. Profile management & onboarding flows tailored to each role. Real-time messaging with AJAX polling. Work Room for project progression, file sharing, and approvals. Live notifications for proposals, messages, and updates. Search & filtering system with dynamic job cards. Developed with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL, the project combined structured backend logic with a responsive, user-first design. The system was planned using the Waterfall methodology, validated through surveys and user testing, and refined with iterative wireframes and high-fidelity designs. Grigora stands as a proof-of-concept that freelancing platforms can be both functional and ethical, prioritising fairness and accessibility over profit.
